BLS AND ACLS OVERVIEW

Basic Life Support (BLS) Course:

Audience

Targeted at healthcare providers, including nurses, doctors, paramedics, and emergency responders, as well as individuals who require certification for their profession.

Curriculum

Covers the fundamentals of high-quality CPR, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of choking for adults, children, and infants. The course emphasizes the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR.

Format

Includes both theoretical instruction and practical hands-on sessions. The course utilizes video demonstrations, instructor-led discussions, and simulation using manikins to practice skills.

Certification

Upon successful completion, participants receive an AHA BLS Certification Card, valid for two years.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course:

Audience

Designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units.

Curriculum

Builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. Covers advanced airway management, drug therapy, and the management of ACS (Acute Coronary Syndromes) and stroke. It also introduces the algorithms necessary for effective management of cardiac emergencies.

Interactive Learning

Utilizes a series of simulated cardiac and respiratory case scenarios to reinforce important concepts, including decision-making and teamwork.

Certification

Participants who successfully complete the ACLS course, including passing the skills test and a written exam, will receive an AHA ACLS Certification Card, valid for two years.
